2023–2024 Manhattan case: assault allegations, revisions and conditional plea agreement

Conviction

Porter was arrested in Manhattan and initially charged with assault and strangulation, among other offences, following an incident involving Kysre Gondrezick. One assault charge was subsequently dropped when prosecutors acknowledged that the vertebral fracture initially cited had not been caused by Porter. On 23 January 2024, he pleaded guilty to a misdemeanour count of reckless assault and a harassment violation under an agreement providing for a 26-week intervention programme and other conditions; the agreement allowed the assault plea to be withdrawn later if the conditions were met.
