2023: defends drummer accused over alleged extremist symbolism

Protagonist not prosecuted

Protagonist not prosecuted — these proceedings are not counted in their formal charges or convictions.

Following an Aurora show at Lollapalooza Brazil, some social-media users and an NGO interpreted a hand gesture by drummer Sigmund Vestrheim as a white-supremacist sign and pointed to older posts. Vestrheim denied supporting Nazism and Aurora publicly defended him. He was replaced for some Mexico shows amid safety concerns; the allegations against him do not establish wrongdoing by Aurora.
