Finnish comedian born in 1979, based in the US and known as ISMO.

Ismo Leikola is a Finnish comedian who gained international recognition after a 2014 stand-up competition and a 2018 Conan appearance. In 2008 he was removed from a television programme after hitting a horse; he acknowledged the incident and apologised. In 2015 he raised concerns about a possible copying of his “No niin” joke, without any known legal proceedings.

2008: removed from “Tallitähdet” after striking a horse

No legal proceedings

During filming of the equestrian reality show “Tallitähdet”, Leikola struck a horse on the head after an incident during an event. The producers removed him from the programme. MTV reported the incident and statements from the production team and the comedian.
