Formally charged

The Audiencia Nacional changed Vilda's status from witness to person under investigation (investigado) in the inquiry into possible pressure exerted on Jenni Hermoso following Rubiales's kiss. Vilda acknowledged speaking to Hermoso's brother to try to reduce the affair's media impact but denied any threats or coercion. He was subsequently tried for coercion in 2025.
