2014: suspended from bowling for a non-compliant action
Following a report during a Test against West Indies in Trinidad, independent analysis found that the elbow extension in some of Williamson’s deliveries exceeded the permitted 15-degree threshold. The ICC suspended him from bowling in international cricket on 23 July 2014. This did not prevent him from batting or imply match-fixing.
