Robert Spatz

Also known as: Lama Kunzang Dorje, Kunzang Dorje, Ogyen Kunzang Chöling (association fondée)

Belgian founder of OKC, born in 1944, convicted of offences including the abuse of minors.

Robert Spatz founded the Ogyen Kunzang Chöling community and was finally convicted in Belgium following lengthy litigation over abuse-related and other offences. Former child residents of its French centre have described violence and deprivation; a separate French investigation was still reported in 2025. Alleged offences by other members must not be attributed automatically to Spatz.
