2024–2025: drink-driving conviction by criminal penalty order

Conviction

In June 2024, Bulgurcu was stopped near Glattfelden with at least 0.62 mg of alcohol per litre of breath, approximately 1.2‰ blood alcohol. Zurich prosecutors, quoted by Keystone-SDA, confirmed that a December 2024 penalty order imposed 40 day-fines of CHF 310, suspended for four years, plus an immediate CHF 3,100 fine and CHF 800 in costs. The decision became public in March 2025; no appeal was reported.
