Governance dispute with Mick Mars: removal, document disclosure litigation and arbitration favouring the band

Civil / administrative proceedings

After Mick Mars stopped touring for health reasons, the guitarist accused his bandmates, including Sixx, of removing him from Mötley Crüe's corporate structures and seeking to reduce his financial entitlements. In 2024, a judge criticised the band for delays in providing documents. In January 2026, however, an arbitrator ruled that his removal as an officer and member for cause was permitted and made determinations concerning financial compensation.
